Winter Sowing Program

Evanston Food Exchange is bringing students together to winter sow seeds for the garden on February 7th.  By using recycled gallon water jugs, the kids will make mini-greenhouses that live in the garden and sprout the seeds in the spring.  You can do this at home!

Free Seeds are available from Edible Evanston at the seed swap on March 10th  2:30 pm Evanston Ecology Center.

Family Focus Harvest Dinner

To celebrate the success of the second growing season of Foster Garden, Family Focus After-School Program held a well attended (100 plus!) October Harvest Fest Dinner. The dinner was sponsored by the garden partners:  Evanston Food Exchange, Chef Q Ibraheem, Northwestern University Science in Society and Noir dEbene Chocolat et Patisserie.

Real Food at NU panel examines food insecurity
