E-Farm to Career: Growing Whole People

E-Farm is an initiative to help expand urban agricultural learning opportunities at Evanston Township High School eventually to include a four year curriculum.  Money donated to E-Farm will be given to ETHS to support such efforts to expand its urban agriculture experiential learning and curriculum, and might include summer jobs, an urban agriculture club, classes that use hands-on growing and selling to teach academic subjects such as biology, environmental studies and business, developing credit-bearing urban agriculture internships, expanded infrastructure that will enable ETHS students to produce even more food year-round (aquaponics, hydroponics etc) and increased ETHS-grown produce in ETHS’ cafeteria, which improves student nutrition and health.
